Hands-On Art Barn offers a variety of summer art opportunities for kids who want to enjoy learning, develop skills or just plain have fun making art this summer!  With art camps, pottery wheel camps, and clay hand-building camps, there are many different ways to get creative this summer! Summer camps at the Art Barn are sure to be the highlight of your child’s summer!

SUMMER ART CAMPS 

There will be 8 weeks of Art Camp at the Art Barn this summer.  To accommodate everyone, art camp and Club Mud registrations are limited to 2 sessions of camp per student (this does not include Clay Camp).   For example, in the morning sessions a student may register for 1 “Deep Blue Sea” camp and 1 “Earth, Wind & Fire” camp.  Likewise, for the afternoon sessions, students may register for 1 “Strings & Things” camp and 1 “Summer Safari” camp.  Each camp features new activities and promises to be a creative adventure filled with artistic exploration and fun!

Cost for camp is $140 and includes all supplies.

There are 2 payment options: Option 1: Pay in full Option 2: 50% deposit at the time of registration.

Each camp lasts 4 days (Monday – Thursday)

CLUB MUD 

Club Mud is a pottery camp for kids entering grades 5-9 where students who love to work with clay, and have always wanted to do more, can dive in and create works of art using the pottery wheel.  Students will learn the whole process of how to create a pot on the wheel from the first spin of the wheel to the final glazed masterpiece!

Each camp lasts 4 days (1.5 hrs each day)

Cost for camp is $160 and includes all supplies.

CLAY CAMP

Clay Camp is a one day camp for kids who enjoy the versatility and endless possibilities of shaping clay by hand.  For students of all levels, this camp includes multiple forms of construction as well as surface decoration and glazing techniques.  Featuring hands-on demonstrations and instruction, kids will discover the fun and sense of accomplishment that comes with creating something special out of a lump of clay!

Clay Camp is for kids ages 8 and older.  New project ideas will be taught at each session.  Cost for Clay Camp is $25.  Camps are from 1:00-2:30 pm on the following Fridays:
